Kenneth M. Parsley

Kenneth M. Parsley, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Union Hospital. He was born on February 8, 1938, in Paris, IL to Wayne V. and Mary Margaret (Lowery) Parsley.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty (Potts) Parsley of Terre Haute; children, Brian Parsley and wife Mercy, Dennis Parsley and companion Lisa, and Kristie Coomer; seven grandchildren, Brittnie Barker and husband James, Dallas Coomer, Travis Parsley and companion Samantha, Logan Coomer and fiancée Tiffany, Kaitlin Parsley, Megan Parsley, and Danielle Johnson; and six great-grandchildren, Braden Barker, Jaylie Barker, Aurora Coomer, Jessie Coomer, Kairi Parsley, and Jordan Doan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenneth graduated from Gerstmeyer High School. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. He worked for PSI for 38 years. Kenneth was a member of Calvary Temple. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, electronics, and reading. He was a pack leader for Cub Scout Pack 124, scout leader for Boy Scout Troop 124, and one of the founders of Terre Town Baseball League. For several years, Kenneth worked as a race car mechanic for a friend.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 19 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with Rev. Lance Byrd officiating.
