George Leslie Brown Jr.

George Leslie Brown Jr., age 76, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday August 24, 2024. George was born in Seelyville, IN to George & Ruby Brown on October 11, 1947. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1966. George was a U.S Navy veteran and a member of the local American Legion Post 104. He retired from Sam's Club in 2010 after 20 years as the Tire Shop Manager. He married the love of his life, Margaret Mullaney, on October 28, 1967. He is survived by his wife Margaret, his 3 children- Rick (Kristin), Brian (Apryl), and Cindy (Hank), 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 6 siblings, and several nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, NASCAR, and watching the Miami Dolphins, and the Atlanta Braves. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024 from 12PM to 3PM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Service will begin at 3PM with Military Services. Per his wishes cremation will follow.
