Edward Eugene Holstine

Edward Eugene Holstine, 91, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away at Union Hospital on July 19, 2021. He was born on August 1, 1929 in Salem, Indiana, to Winnie and Pearl (Kirkpatrick) Holstine. Edward graduated from Salem High School and held many records for track. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Alice (Wilson) Holstine; son, Gary Holstine (Darlene) of Terre Haute; daughter, Teresa West (Bubba) of Wenatchee, Washington; grandson, Shane Holstine (Rachel) of Terre Haute; granddaughters, Amy Grayless (Mike) of Terre Haute and Tiffany Inglis (Chris) of Nine Mile Falls, Washington; along with his great grandchildren: Cole Grayless, Logan Inglis, and Zoie Inglis. Edward served his country in the Air Guard for 37 years. He was a member of the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge #687, The VFW, Kerman Grotto, and the outdoor recreational club. Edward is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Holstine and Edna Callahan; brother, Wilbur Holstine; along with his great granddaughter, Makayla Grayless. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 11am- 1pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
