Robert Lee Murphy, Sr.

Robert Lee Murphy, Sr., 86, of Highland Springs, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Bobby loved singing, bowling, fishing and being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Murphy; children, Kent Murphy, Linda Murphy, Robert Murphy Jr., Wanda Hinson of Tennessee, David Murphy and Johnny Murphy of Highland Springs; grandchild, Ashlee Hinson; great-grandchild, Haiden Hinson; and sister, Alice Atkins of Mechanicsville. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
