Sandra Murine (Stewart) Richards

Sandra Murine (Stewart) Richards, age 49, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away on Sunday May 27, 2018. Sandra--daughter of Cherril Anderson and Calburn Stewart was born February 1, 1969 in Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica. She is survived by her husband of almost 31 years, Rupert G. Richards Jr., daughter Danielle D. Skinner, son Rupert G. Richards III, son-in-law Kenneth M. Skinner, grandson Kenneth M. Skinner Jr., granddaughter Kennedy M. Skinner, and her mother, father, sisters Sharon Rainford (Donald) and Ann-Marie Morakinyo (James), brother Errol Stewart, nieces and nephews, and host of other family members. Sandra M. Richards, a 1987 graduate of the Thomas McKean High School in Wilmington, DE, was married to Rupert G. Richards Jr. in 1987. As a military wife, she joined her husband in moving to Yokota Air Base, Japan and other locations around the world. The Richards’ raised their two children to respect the value and importance of family and a good education. She was totally supportive of her husband and children. She easily made friends and helped others, not expecting or seeking anything in return. She enjoyed cooking and playing games of chance with her family and friends, as well as creating and running the Taste of Trelawny food truck and catering service. Sandra was the epitome of the ideal wife and mother--a caring and giving person who always had a beautiful smile and a big heart that radiated from within. Her family and friends will greatly miss her. She will always remain in our hearts and fondest memories. Her service will be June 9, 2018, 10:00 am at Salem Fields Community Church, 11120 Gordon Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. Interment will be 1:00 pm at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Virginia. She will be temporarily resting at Sunset Cemetery, Fredericksburg until her mausoleum is built. The family requests that you join them for a repast immediately following the burial.
