Kathleen "Katie" Louise Pouchan

Kathleen Louise Pouchan, “Katie”, age 76, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. She was born on August 18, 1947, in Pennsylvania, and adopted by the late Jesse and Marie (Campbell) Kreidler. Kathleen (Katie) graduated from Oil City High School (Oil City, PA), and earned a degree from Newcastle Business College (Newcastle, PA). She came to Washington D.C. to first work at the D.C. Redevelopment Land Agency. Her career continued as a legal secretary with the National Labor Relations Board (an agency of the federal government) where she handled reports from regional offices throughout the country. Katie loved the beach and enjoyed trips to destinations such as Ocean City and Myrtle Beach. She also enjoyed camping and river tubing. A favorite pastime for many years was square dancing, where she and Dan dressed in lovely costumes for themed festivals and parades. Many admired Katie's Longaberger basket collection, among others. To her family and friends, Katie was always faithful, generous, dependable, and fun-loving! Predeceased by her parents and one brother, John Kreidler and sister-in-law Barbara (English) Kreidler. Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Daniel Alexander Pouchan, and two nephews: Jason and Ryan Kreidler. Funeral Services will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172 on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM. If joining the family for the committal service, please arrive to the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
