Garnett Lumpkin Cropp, 89 of Stafford County passed away Friday, December 13, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Mitchell Cropp of Woodbridge and Glenn Cropp and his wife, Darlene, of Hartwood; two daughters, Linda Fines and her husband, Jim, of Falmouth and Rita Payne and her husband, Al, of Fredericksburg, nine grandchildren--who will be the pallbearers: Timothy Cropp, Gregory Cropp, Brian Cropp, Troy Payne, Jason Payne, Kevin Fines, Glenn Michael Cropp, Dylan Cropp and Christy Richard; and 15 great-grandchildren--will serve as honorary pallbearers: Zachary, Jacob, Luke, Connor, Kylie, David, Ethan, Kevin (K.J.) Jr., Tyler, William, Jason (J.T.) Jr., Clayton, Maggie, Morgan, Addyson; and a great great grandson, Colton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Granville Theston “Buck” Cropp and her daughter in law, Sue Cropp.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A funeral will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 16, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the First Christian Church, 1501 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401 and or Mary Washington Hospice, 2600 Mary Washington Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
