Carrie Mae Kurtz, aged 79, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Born on November 30, 1944, Carrie's life was marked by her dedication to her family and her passion for her interests.
Carrie is survived by her loving husband, Gerald F. Kurtz, their children: Jerry (Stephanie), Wilbert (Jane), Greg (Sally), and Jenny, and her nieces Karen (George) and Emily. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Courtney (Jeremy), Ashley, Rodney (Diane), Laurien (Joey), Donald (Amanda), Jonathan, Mackenzie, and Zachary; as well as her great-grandchildren: Brantley, Landon, Isabelle, Rylin, Skyler, Harper, Harvey, Leo, and Jeremiah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Carrie Dean, and her sisters, Thelma, Lois, and Virginia.
A woman of many passions, Carrie loved reading, crochet, hosting family gatherings, and caring for her fur-babies. Each activity she undertook was imbued with her warmth and love, creating lasting memories for all who knew her.
Carrie's life was a reflection of her faith and values; she embraced every moment with enthusiasm and grace. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A visitation for Carrie will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. An inurnment will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 12:30 PM at National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
