Travis H. Willett, 89, of Huntington, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1931 in Pike City, Arkansas to the late Ralph and Thelma (Hughes) Willett. He served in the United States Air Force for three years. He was a devoted member of Nine Mile United Methodist Church for many years. Travis was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He was the ultimate southern gentleman who was humble and treated everyone with respect. He enjoyed playing country western music, woodworking with his grandchildren, avid outdoorsman, and was a jack of all trades, he could fix or build anything. Travis is survived by his wife, Audrey Willett; daughters, Donna Holloway and Charlene Lenwell; grandchildren, Colton Holloway, Andrea Holloway, Aaron (Kristy) Lenwell and Casey (Linda) Lenwell; great-grandchildren, Emma, Travis, Derek, Valerie, and Brody Lenwell; brother, Morris "Slim" (Ida) Willett; sister, Bernelle "Bea" (Jim) Davis; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Willett. Also preceding him in passing was his brother, Wayne Willett; and son-in-law, Marty Lenwell. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Nine Mile United Methodist Church 6303 Winters Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809, with visitation beginning at 12pm. Burial to follow the service at Nine Mile Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Travis's memory can be made to Nine Mile United Methodist Church.
