Donna Lou Haines

Donna Lou Haines, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born on December 5, 1936 in Fort Wayne. She was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Shannon) Deal. Donna had worked at United Technologies for a number of years. She attended Brookside Church when Pastor Jim was officiating. Donna was the cat lady, she loved her cats. She was a member of the Chix & Chasers square dancing club. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family especially her son Robert. She had bred and raised her own champion Great Dane show dog. One of Donna’s passions was to make people smile. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Heather), Jeffrey, Rick (Debbie), and John Haines; several grandchildren; and cousin, Doug Deal. Also preceding her in passing was her son, George Patrick Haines; brother, Tom Deal; and sisters, Gloria Emmert and Joyce Billings. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809 with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions can be made to the Allen County Humane Society.
