Stanley Blake Stout

Stanley “Stan” Blake Stout, age 67, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. Stanley was born October 30, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Blair Stout and Lillian Lorrainne Surber. Stan attended Deep Creek High School and graduated in 1973, but continued to stay in touch with his childhood classmates throughout his life. Stan proudly graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1977 at which time he entered the United States Army. While in the Army, he received various awards as well as the Ranger and Airborne badges. Stan was honorably discharged from the Army, at the rank of Captain, in 1989 in order to pursue his lifelong desire to enter law enforcement. After graduating from the Police Academy, he joined the James City County Police Department. During his highly successful career with the JCCPD, Stan had the distinct opportunity of working with all branches of our Nation’s law enforcement entities. Stan retired from James City County Police Department at the rank of Deputy Chief of Police in 2014. In the past, Stan has served in all official capacities of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club VA X and loved riding through the countryside with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Judie Stout; siblings, Brenda (Dennis), Steven (Stan’s Twin) (Bob), and Scott (Lisa); nephews and nieces, Neal (Chandra), Nick (Tiffany), Brittany (Kyle), Cole, Kylie, Darren, Forest, Addyson, Mason, Stella, and Kinsley; stepson James (Mandy); and step-grandchildren, Jordan, Kyra, Xavier, Daxton, Skylar, and Sierra. A visitation for Stanley will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. A service will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM, at Nelsen Funeral Home, with a burial to follow at 12:30 PM at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg, Virginia.
