She was born in Winchester, VA to Charlie D. and Bobbie Linkous Ferguson and grew up in Lynchburg, VA. Lisa enjoyed many weekends at Smith Mountain Lake swimming, sunbathing, and water skiing with her family. She attended E. C. Glass High School and married soon after, excited to start her own family. Lisa was a gentle and caring young mother who fiercely loved her 3 small children.
In 1995, Lisa moved to Williamsburg where she met and married the love of her life, Kevin. They spent countless days with friend and family, always with a warm and welcoming smile for those they met. Lisa loved riding on the back of their Harley, and cherished time with Kevin and friends on many camping trips across the U.S.
She was so very proud of her children, Robin, Jeff, and Kris, and loved having family dinners with them, their spouses and her 6 beautiful grandchildren. Lisa was loved by her “Haven” community of friends, and was often seen taking her dog, Piper, on golf cart rides around the neighborhood to visit. She tended to “adopt” those who were struggling, offering love and support in any way she could. Lisa was a strong, genuine, and loyal partner, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Kevin; her children, Robin and Andrew Wallace, Jeff and Stephanie Martin, and Kristopher and Erin Martin; her beautiful grandchildren, Sydney, Ian, Savannah, Scarlett, Riley and Kole; step-mother, Mary Ferguson; brother, Charlie Ferguson; and sister, Julie Russell. She was also blessed with an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a multitude of great friends.
When you see the sunlight sparkling on the water and feel the warm sunshine on your face, it is likely Lisa showering us with love from Heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Lisa on Tuesday, November 29th at 11:00 AM at the First Simple Church, 16401 Chickahominy Bluff Rd, Williamsburg, VA
