Joseph Michael Cappo

Joseph Michael Cappo, 63, of Waynesboro, passed away at 10:05 AM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1950 in Chisholm, Minnesota the son of the late William and Linda Roach Cappo.
He was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the church choir and was last employed as a sales representative for Quarles Oil Company.
He enjoyed fishing, making hand made fly rods. He was involved with the PTA where he served as president for two years.
He was actively involved with his son, Jason’s sports activities and was a member of the Shenandoah Gun Club.
His greatest passion of all was snow skiing.
Survivors include his wife, Shirlee N. Cappo, a son, Jason Cappo, three brothers; David Cappo and wife Cheryl, William “Bill” Cappo and wife Nancy, James “Jimmy” and wife Penny, two sisters; Brenda Cappo and Ruth Cappo all of Phoenix, Arizona.
He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor John Hamric.
Burial will follow in Tinkling Spring Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence of 91 Aero Drive, Waynesboro from 7-9:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 and Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
