Eldarine A. Seaman

Eldarine Frances (Allen) Seaman, 92, of Waynesboro passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Oak Grove Manor Assisted Living. Born July 4, 1920 in Nelson County she was the daughter of the late Jacob T. and Mary (Demastus) Allen. Ms. Seaman worked at Hollister Inc. in Stuarts Draft for many years until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth R. Allen; half- sisters, Rhoda A. Campbell, Bertha A. Layton, Lora A. Lucas, Eva A. Falls, Ruth A. Bradley and Edna Allen; half-brothers, Wilmer Allen, Jack Allen and Edward Allen. Survivors include her siblings, Elsie A. Liebert of Waynesboro, Nina A. Hearn of Stuarts Draft, James F. Allen and wife Jane of Waynesboro and Harry D. Allen and wife Sylvia of Waynesboro; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Jamie McClanahan officiating. There will be no formal visitation; however friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. today.
