Betty Jeane Baber, 81, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at River Edge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 4, 1943 to the late Thomas Wilson and Laura Frances (Drumheller) Critzer.
Betty retired from the Relay Department of the former General Electric Company of Waynesboro and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ray “Pete” Baber; daughter, Pameral Baber Cash; son, Micheal Baber; brothers, Donnie, Ronnie, Thomas, Jr., Hunter and Roger Critzer.
Survivors include her two sisters, Lois Critzer, Merrel Roadcap; two grandchildren, Rachel and Erin Baber; one great grandson, Jackson Wayne Hill, and a special niece, Penny Carter.
She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Mayo officiating.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery on the day of the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
