Raymond "Gene" Eugene Batton

Raymond Eugene Batton, 84, of Moore, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Gene was born June 28, 1937 in Bailey, NC to the late Burke and Mary Etta Batton. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Mike, BJ, Sybil, Charles; and granddaughter, Hailey O'Connor of Fayetteville, AR. He was raised in the Norview section of Norfolk, VA and a graduate of Norview High School class of 1955. Gene worked for Gulf Oil Company and Norshipco until he retired. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; step-sons, Bruce Pitts and wife Tonya; Eric Pitts and partner Maryah all from Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Brett, Avery, Dawson, Dylan, Ripley and Jaxson and 2 great- grandchildren, Danae and Seth. Gene is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
