Madron Painter

Moyock, NC- Madron Painter, 86, passed away peacefully September 8, 2010. Mr. Painter was born November 13, 1923 to the late Mosby and Odessa Painter in Natural Bridge, VA. He loved being outdoors and as Madron would say, “a heck of a hunter”. He will always be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory is: daughter, Irma Painter; two sons, Mike Painter and wife Sherry and Terry Painter and wife Sharon; sister, Maxine Staples; six grandchildren: Troy, Aaron, Bradley, Martha, Alex, and Lucas; and three great-grandchildren: Troy Michael, Hannah, and Isabella. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Painter. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
