Herbert "Herb" Poole

Herbert “Herb” Lee Poole, 89, passed away in Norfolk on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Herb was born in Belhaven, NC to the late Thomas and Mabel Poole. He was a former US Army veteran; however, most of his life he worked as an airplane mechanic with NARF “Navy Naval Rework Facility” in Norfolk. Herb also owned his own business, Poole Construction. He also was a volunteer driver for Lee’s Friends by transporting cancer patients to their appointments. Herb is survived by his loving wife, Naomi Poole; children, Debbie (Franklin) and Brenda (Craig); one grandson, Jamie and a host of other family members and friends. A funeral service will begin at 12pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Avalon Church of Christ, 844 Woodstock Rd., VB, VA 23464. There will be a visitation starting one hour prior at the church.
