Ernestine T. McGinty

McGinty, Ernestine T, died January 13 in Virginia Beach. “Ernie” was the widow of the late Julian “Mac” McGinty with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She is survived by their three sons, Chuck (Chris) of Spotsylvania, Bob (Mary) of Virginia Beach, and Buddy (Pam) of Powhatan; six grandchildren, Sean (Jodi), Jennifer Hinton (Matt), Suzanne, Christian (Carrie), Julianne and Morgann; and six great grandchildren. Ernie worked while raising her sons and was the first female district field agent for the IRS but her passion came after retiring and becoming an avid member of the Kempsville Ladies Golf Association. Her proudest accomplishment was her hole-in-one at the age of 75.
