Obituary of Celeste Eleanor Webster
Celeste Eleanor Webster, 100, passed from this life into life everlasting in the care and comfort of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 1, 2021. She was the ever loyal wife of Daniel A. Webster for seventy devoted years. She was born on April 1, 1921, in Roanoke, VA. Here she met the love of her life, Daniel Ammon Webster to begin their lives together as true loves. She and Daniel began to raise their family here in Norfolk. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed ceramics, making clothing, sewing, drawing, painting and fishing with her husband. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Together Daniel and Celeste, both demonstrated the love of God through their Christ-like attitudes and actions which were an important part of her wisdom and strength to lead as matriarch of the family. She is cherished in memory by her children, Donald and wife, Cecilia; Gary and his wife, DeGina; Michael and his wife, Audrey; and daughter, Cathy Christiansen. Of these four children, she was the proud matriarch for 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other significant family members and friends. A visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, August 6, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will immediately follow the service at the Chapel of Serenity mausoleum. Please post your condolences to the family at the funeral home website during this sad and difficult time in their lives.
