Betty Dutton Rose

Betty Dutton Rose, 83, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016. Mrs. Rose was born in Machipongo, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert James Dutton and Hattie Tilghman Dutton, two brothers Elmer Dutton and William Thomas Dutton; three sisters Addie Smith, Gladys Rice and Alice Walker. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her loving husband, James W. Rose, III; four children, James W. Rose, IV, and wife Christine, David K. Rose and wife Brenda, Lori A. Rose, Michael L. Rose and wife Jerra; grandchildren, Rebecca Lynne Taylor, James W. Rose V, Bobbie R. Perrigo, David K. Rose, Jr., Jessica R. Ochs, Kevin M. Rose, Michael A. Rose, Joseph P. Rose, Cady D. Rose, Cameron Daroczy and Kaelin Daroczy; great grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, McKenna Taylor, Cody A. Rose, Sophia Perrigo, Sebastian Rose, Charlotte A. Rose and her beloved pet Penny. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016, 5:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
