OBITUARY
Anthony Josiah Burke
May 29, 2012 – November 4, 2012
IN THE CARE OF
Smith & Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville
Anthony was born on May 29, 2012 at 11:09 a.m, weighing 1lb 10oz, and 13 inches long. Although he was smaller than his twin brother, he came out screaming the loudest. With his prematurity came a myriad of complications. At seven days old, he underwent heart surgery; at two-weeks, he endured surgery for intestinal issues. No matter how much or how many times they poked, picked, and probed, Anthony never complained. He smiled through his pain.
The milestones were big steps of accomplishments. Anthony took his first bottle on July 12th and pulled out his breathing tube when he was two months old; breathing perfectly fine on his own. No matter the setbacks he overcame, he stayed strong enough and endured his final surgery on August 28th, and then joined his brother at home on September 14th.
Anthony brought more joy and happiness with his big eyes and beautiful smile. He was blessed with his father's features and his mother's personality. He loved to watch sports in the morning and listen to 2-Chainz.
