Steven Michael Williams, 64, of Clay City, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1957, in Indianapolis to Frederick and Ada (Strait) Williams.
Steven is survived by his children: Zakery Williams (Tricia Black) of Brazil, Krysta Starkey (Zachary) of Sedalia, MO, and Nathan Williams (Elizabeth Hyde) of Clay City; grandchildren, Malini Megenhardt, Max Zellers, Conner Williams, Ada Williams, Ezmarie Williams, Jaxson Williams, Gabrial Akers, and Eli Hyde; and brothers, Frederick Williams and James “Spank” Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Kimberly Roberts; and a grandson, David Williams.
Steven proudly served in the United States Army. He worked in construction for many years as a roofer for the United Union of Roofers Local 150. In his spare time, Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching old Westerns. He enjoyed shooting guns and being outdoors. Steven was outgoing and fun to be around, he put everyone he met at ease. Most of all, Steven enjoyed spending time he spent with his family and his friends, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Per his wishes, Steven will be cremated. A gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
