Reva Loretta Dailey

Reva L. Dailey, 98, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. Reva was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Libertyville, to Carl and Gladys Payne.They moved to Terre Haute when she was 2 years old. She married Charles B. Dailey on Feb. 9,1938. Mr. Dailey worked in the coal mines. In 1943 they moved to Bicknell. She worked at H.W. Gossard and Company for 17 1/2 years. They moved back to Terre Haute when the mines closed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Elma L. Silver; and two nephews, Carl L. Silver and James L. Silver.She is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Butrum; three grandsons, Douglas Butrum and wife Jeannie, Bradley Butrum and wife Patty and Jeffrey Butrum and wife Julie; six great-grandchildren, Erica and Jim, Charlie and Heather and Brandon and Molly; great-great-grandchildren, Jake, Zoe and Joey Paisley, Kinley and Emmit and Calib, Jordan and Lilly; five wonderful nephews, Don and Linda Silver, David and Alma Silver, Paul and Carolyn Silver, Steve and Jackie Silver and Tom and Laurie Silver; two precious nieces, Susan and Jeff Holcomb and Anita and Steve Walter. Reva was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 83 years and she was a member of The Wabash Valley Musician Hall of Fame. Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home, with a visitation Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Tammy Lowe. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
