Mary Ann Pennington

Mary Ann Pennington, age 88, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born on August 15, 1934 in Shirkieville, Indiana to George E. Neal and Catherine (Sekerak) Neal. Mary Ann was a graduate of Fayette High School 1952. She married the love of her life, Leon Pennington on December 4, 1954. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Leon Pennington; daughter, Sally Hunter (Steve); 2 grandchildren, Amy Barbour (Corey) and Chad Hunter (Kelsey); and 4 great-grandchildren: Hunter, Addelynn, Hayden, and Greyson. Mary Ann is also survived by her sister, Linda Lenne (Skip); sister-in-law, Virginia Clouse; along with several nieces and nephews. Mary Ann traveled to all 50 states and 42 winters in the Florida Keys, with her family visiting often. Mary Ann and Leon were also co-proprietors for 21 years. They were instrumental in starting Jim's Parking in Mansfield, IN. Mary Ann loved to go fishing, deer hunting, reading her books, and spending time with her 4 great-grandchildren.
