Judith “Judy” Kay Taylor, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Gibson Family Hospice Center. She was born on January 18, 1939, in Farmersburg to Densel and Myrtle (Hux) Turner.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jackie Turner; great-grandson, Anthony Michael Case; a son-in-law, Steve Crawford; and a host of aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Douglas and husband Taylor, Bobbi Cottrell and husband Claud, and Angie Crawford; a brother, Jerry Turner and wife Linda; grandchildren, Taylor “T.J.” Douglas (Carrie), Kayla Crawford-Reeves (Xhale), Sara Crawford (Michael), Hannah Crawford, Dustin Cox (Rachel), and Skyler Cottrell; great grandchildren, Taylor Michele Douglas (Brendan), Gabrielle “Brie” Douglas, DeShawn Lonberger, DeMarcus Anderson, Natalie Crewes, Jayden Crewes, Sofia Pair, Sawyer Cox, and Gemma Cox; and a great-great-grandson, Brendan Stewart.
Judy graduated from State High School. She retired from General Housewares after many years of dedicated service. Not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Judy loved to do yardwork, especially mowing her yard on her John Deere. She was fondly known by many as the “Mayor” of the trailer park. More than anything, Judy loved playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Judy’s family at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
