James H. Sullivan Jr.

James Harry Sullivan, Jr., 72, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Union Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1944, in Terre Haute, to James Sullivan, Sr. and Alma (King) Sullivan.
James is survived by his wife of ten years, Helena (Proehl) Sullivan of Terre Haute; children, Tracy Hackett and husband Lloyd, James Sullivan and wife April, Crystal Sullivan and fiancé Jason Hiddle; brothers, Gary Sullivan, and Mark Sullivan and wife Sue; sister, Peggie Brown and husband Don; son-in-law, Rodney Higginbotham; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Dustin), Kurtis (Rachel), Amanda (Dylan), Ashley, Alexis, Oriah, Jalan, and Kyler; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Dawn Higginbotham; and a sister Pat Sullivan.
James operated heavy equipment for Amax and Chinook Coal Companies for many years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 291, U.S.B.C. He was an avid bowler. He bowled on the mixed league at Imperial Lanes, participating in the National Tournament and bowling multiple 300 and 800 Series. He also enjoyed golfing at Hulman Links, and enjoyed singing karaoke.
Services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home at 8:00pm with the visitation from 4-8pm Friday, February 10, 2017 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Taylor with inurnment at a later date. Online condolences can be made at roselawnfuneralhome.net.
