Hugh Gary Phillips

Hugh Gary Phillips, 85, of Raphine passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Shenandoah Valley Health and Rehab, Buena Vista, Va. Born October 6, 1935 in Raphine, he was a son of the late Hughes Brandsford and Gladys L. (Campbell) Phillips. Gay was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed playing basketball and softball. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He will be remembered as a loving and special brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd W. Phillips and Alonzo (Teeny) Phillips. Survivors include his sister, Lue Cash of Steeles Tavern. Following cremation, there will be no formal viewing or services. The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to Shenandoah Valley Heath and Rehab for their love and care of Gary.
