Claudia Mae (Jordan) Massie, 80, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born May 27, 1944 in Staunton, she was a daughter of the late Claud and Frances (Kiser) Jordan.
Claudia was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren, Waynesboro. Prior to retirement, she worked for 35 faithful years at Conagra. She was member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1309. Claudia was known by her family and friends to have never met a stranger, she greatly enjoyed meeting new people that would become friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a beautiful yard full of many different types of flowers that she enjoyed. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Phillip Massie and Timothy A. Massie; and brother, Junie Jordan.
Survivors include her children, Hollis Jordan of Staunton, Debbie Landes (Lewis Bryant) of Stuarts Draft, and Tammy Guy of Fishersville; grandchildren, Catrina, Derrick, and Jonathan II; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Nancy Johnson (Sunny) of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Doris Jordan of MD; best friends, Shirley McClair, JoAnn and Howie Melnikoff, Jean and Charlie Bowles, Hermie and Bill Ward, Sandy and Jim Batton, and Kay Wade; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, 2179 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft with Pastor David Vaughan officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to Sentara Hospice for their love and care of Claudia.
