Oliver James Akers

Oliver “Ollie” James Akers, age 6 months, of Staunton, passed away much too soon on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at UVA in Charlottesville. Ollie was born at UVA to Andrea and Nicholas Akers on November 8th, 2023. He was the first grandchild in the family and the time that he had will be cherished by everyone who met him. Ollie is survived by his parents, Nicholas Akers and Andrea (Gindlesperger) Akers; his paternal grandparents, Randal and Deborah Akers; his maternal grandparents, Gregory and Dolores Gindlesperger; as well as his uncles and aunts, Zachary Akers, Luke and Carly Gindlesperger and Juliana Gindlesperger. The family will receive friends for a time of remembrance on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
