Gloria Robinson Sawyer, 74, of Darlington, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Preceded in death by her father, Alphonso White, Sr., her mother, Charlotte Hunter White, two brothers, Charles and Alphonso, Jr., and her husbands, Leroy B. Robinson, II and Frank Sawyer, Sr., Gloria leaves to cherish her memory one son, Leroy B. Robinson, III, of Baltimore, MD; three daughters, Linda Stewart of Fredericksburg, VA; Lori Jenkins and her husband, Stan, of Stafford, VA; Lisa Page and her husband, Elder Charles (Bernard), of Hartsville, SC; nine grand-children, Benson L. Stewart, Leah B. Stewart, Matthew B. Jenkins, Marques A. Jenkins, Rachel G. Robinson, Amelia M. Caul, Charles Page, Jr., Christopher Maliek Page, and Charlise V. Page; two great-grandchildren, Bryson J. Stewart and Ashari M. Paige, and two special family friends, Kerry Hilliard and Mary Caul. Gloria also leaves two sisters-in law, Sandra Harrison and Sally Mont, one brother-in-law, Johnny Robinson and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive friends for viewing from 6 to 8:00 pm. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the funeral home with burial in Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
