Theresa H Farley

Born in Manhattan, New York, Theresa Farley passed away on February 11, 2023 at her residence in Greenspring Village, Springfield, VA. Born November 6, 1928 to Margaret Cooke Hoar and Christopher Hoar, Theresa was one of six children. She spent a large part of her life with her husband Richard P. Farley and children in Manhattan until Theresa’s company transfer brought them to Springfield, Virginia in 1983. Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and lived her life with faith, family and friends being her priorities. Theresa had two children: Theresa (J. Patrick McCaffrey) and Douglas M. (Kathryn). She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents Margaret and Christopher, her siblings Walter, Mary, Peggy, Veronica, and Cecilia and her granddaughter, Aileen McCaffrey. She enjoyed many years of friendship with her neighbors in Springfield and later formed new and special friendships during her years at Greenspring. Relatives and friends may call at St Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield, VA on Monday, February 27 at 10:30 for visitation followed by Mass at 11:30. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
