Samuel A. Bunch

Samuel A Bunch age 76 of Gainesville, VA. passed away on July 11, 2024 surrounded by his family. Sam was born in Sharon, PA. to Samuel and Kay Bunch on April 10, 1948. He graduated from Lynchburg College. Sam along with his father in 1973 started Academy Door and Control. He was most proud when he established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, so all of the staff had a real stake in the company. Sam was there every day for over 46 years up until his illness prevented him from doing so. On January 17, 2001, Sam married Ronda Lindsay Bunch in Spotsylvania, VA. They enjoyed life together going to gatherings with friends, dancing, playing bridge, attending all their grandkids events and especially loved traveling the world. He also loved music and his favorite artist was Neil Diamond. Sam was a member of Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville, VA. where he sang in the choir. Sam is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Kay Bunch. Sam is survived by his wife Ronda, his children Dave (Ileana), Chad (Francesca), Mandi, and Ryan (Olivia.) His grandchildren Tyler, Tadeo, Mateo, Johnathan, Courtney and Andy. His siblings, sister Linda (Tom), brother Bobby (Jaquelin) and sister Debbie (Chris.) His niece Kristen and nephews Mike and Derrick, as well as many cousins.
