Albert M. George

Albert MacDonald George, 64, of Manassas, VA and Wysox, PA died unexpectedly Jan. 9, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, of 30 years; father, Lt. Col. Sidney L George (U.S. Army, ret.); and brother, Kurt V. George. Surviving are his two children, Megan and Kurt of VA; mother Jane L. George and sister, Alice G. Chisholm (Andy), of Savannah, GA; a large extended family, and many devoted lifelong friends. Albert was born April 1, 1953 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. His professional career was in the telecommunications field. He grew up in the scouting program and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was athletic, training and completing many marathons and triathlons over the years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, particularly at his grandparent’s farm in PA. A memorial service for Albert will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA on Saturday, June 9th at 1:30 pm with a visitation hour to follow.
