Marion Lucille Byies

Marion L. Byies, 81 of Spotsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at her home with her husband and daughter, Linda by her side. She retired from the old Mary Washington Hospital after 18 years of service as a nurse. She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years Harry; daughter, Linda Wallace and husband, Leo; three sons, Frankie Byies and wife, Evelyn, Ronnie Byies and wife, Janet, and Michael Byies and wife Donna; two sisters, Eleanor and husband, Jr. and Lorraine; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her illness she had a wonderful sitter, Virginia Cole who she cared a lot about and who took wonderful care of her. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6-8:00 PM at Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church, Spotsylvania . A service will be held at the church on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM, with the burial to follow in church cemetery. “Mommy, you got your wings on Christmas. You’re now in heaven with the Lord whom you loved so deeply, no more pain or suffering.
