Arnold Carroll Jenkins
November 11, 1939 – December 14, 2014

Mr. Arnold Carroll Jenkins, 75, a resident of Shenandoah, died December 14, 2014 at his home.
A son of the late Percy C. and Beulah Virginia Alexander Jenkins, he was born on November 11, 1939 in Shenandoah. He graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1958 and served in the U. S. Army.
Arnold lived his entire life in Shenandoah other than his military time. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Ashlar Lodge No. 125, A.F. & A.M.; and retired from Merck & Co. where he was an instrument mechanic. He enjoyed traveling and collected N&W Trains.
On January 18, 1964, Arnold married Nancy Mintzer Jenkins who survives. Also surviving are four children, Danny Jenkins and wife, Deanna, of Williamsburg, VA, Judy Jenkins of McGaheysville, David Jenkins and wife, Debra, of Grantsville, GA, and John Jenkins and partner, Carrie Davis, of Shenandoah; six grandchildren, Eric, Katelyn, Dylan, and Teagan Jenkins, and Destiny and Steven Miller. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Roy and Lynn Jenkins and two sisters, Mildred Davis and Wanda Stroupe. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday evening, Dec. 17th in the Fellowship Hall at Christ U.M.C.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18th at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Stephen Creech officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Shenandoah with military and masonic rites.
