Kenneth Ray Ashby

Kenneth Ray Ashby, 73, of Ridgeway, Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born in Martinsville, VA. on May 19, 1943 to Robert Ashby and Belva Keen Ashby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Scotty Ashby. He is survived by his wife Ethel Lee Dickenson Ashby; daughter Kenya Wade and husband Adam; sister Patricia Knight and husband Johnnie, brothers Bobby Ashby and wife Ruth , and Ronnie Ashby and wife Carolyn; grandchildren Amber Harrell, Brittany Ashby, Hannah Ferguson, Tristan Wade; and one great granddaughter Alexis Ashby. Kenneth was a foreman with the Henry County PSA. He loved hunting and fishing. The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at New Life Community Church, 415 Mica Road, Ridgeway, VA 24148. Pastor Terry Knighten will be officiating. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements are by Community Funeral Services, 109 Fontaine Drive, Ridgeway, Va., 24148
