Victor Lindbergh Schmick

Rev. Dr. Victor L. Schmick, 93, of Henrico, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Pugh Schmick. He was a Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church and was in the Marine Corps. He was a lifetime member of Sandston Rotary Club, with 50 years of perfect attendance, and an avid artist. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Johns Hopkins University, his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in Springfield, IL., and his Doctorate from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA. He was a founding board member of Good Neighbor Village which is a Non - Profit Organization providing housing for the mentally handicapped. He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Schmick, Sr. (Phyllis) and Joel Schmick (Jennifer); grandchildren, Tyler Schmick, Peyton Schmick, Gordon Schmick, Amanda Donovan (William), Hailey Schmick (Ian); great – grandchildren, Kenley, Jackson, Penny, and one more expected at the end of December. The family will receive friends and family Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA. 23231.
