Sanford "Sam" Cornelius Williamson, 80, of Henrico, VA, died peacefully at home on January 11, 2021.
He was born May 22, 1940 in Richmond. Sam was preceded in death by his parents William S. and Lois M. Patterson Williamson; son, Kenneth J. Williamson; and son-in-law, John P. Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy C. Williamson; daughter, Cheryl L. Jones of Chesterfield; and sons, David S. (Martha Willis) of Henrico and Eric C. Williamson of Richmond.
Sam graduated from John Marshall High School and Danville Technical Institute. He worked at AT&T for 37 years. Sam loved photography, traveling, and anything to do with trains. He was a long time member of the Old Dominion Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a burial will be private at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Dominion Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society, PO Box 8583, Richmond, VA 23226.
