Ruth May Haynes

HAYNES, Ruth May, of Charles City, Va., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11th, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leonard Haynes. Ruth worked for Standard Paper for many years and later in life went back to school and obtained her certification as a nurse’s assistant, which she did for 10 years and loved. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her husband and loved the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her son, Gaynor King (Alice); daughters, Leoma Krause and Tammy Rudolph; stepdaughter, Sandy Clarke (Doug); brother-in-law, and Donald Haynes (Joyce). She is also survived by 2 sisters, a brother, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA. 23231, with a service in the chapel on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
