Roy Whitfield Jordan, Sr.

Roy Whitfield Jordan, Sr., 90, of Midlothian, VA, ended his earthly journey on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Son of Elwood N. Jordan and Edna L. Baker Jordan Loving, he was predeceased by his wife, Goldie McCloud Johnson Jordan; parents; and siblings, Robert E. Jordan, Lloyd N. Glasscock, Benjamin F. Glasscock, Nancy C. Fairfield, and George L. Jordan. He is survived by his children, Roy W. Jordan, Jr. and Deborah J. Skiscim (Richard); grandchildren, Roy “RJ” W. Jordan, III (Patricija Zot) and Marie L. Skiscim Stoker (Brooks); and great grandchildren, Adelaide W. Jordan and Brayden L. Stoker. Roy served honorably as a citizen soldier in the VA National Guard achieving the rank of Sergeant. A devoted husband, Roy spent countless hours with Goldie searching out ancestors and learning of his family’s journey, and volunteering at the Library of Virginia. A humble and quiet man, he worked hard all his life, and showed forth his love through always being there for his family whatever the circumstance or cause. Visitation on Friday, March 18, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and services on Saturday, March 19, 12:00 noon will be at Nelsen Funeral Home, Richmond. Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
