Kimberly "Kim" Slough Matheny

MATHENY, Kimberly "Kim" Slough, 53, of Henrico, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bobby" M. Slough III; brother, David A. Slough; maternal grandmother, Virginia Fay Hiller, paternal grandparents, Robert M. Slough Jr. and Evelyn K. Slough. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mike Matheny; three children, Ashley Matheny, Nicole Bosdell (Tre) and Cory Matheny; mother, Joanne Slough; brother, Rick Slough (Devon); nephew, Madison Slough; and niece, McKenna Slough. She was an avid reader, a beloved mother, daughter, sister and best friend who loved her family. She was a true and loyal friend with a good heart, and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends Friday, June 3, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4, at 1 p.m., at Fort Lee Baptist Church, 2727 Charles City Rd., Henrico, Va. 23231. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
