Went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Born April 20, 1915, she was the second of three children born to Lottie and Preston Rogers Sr. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Charlotte Armisted; brother, Preston Rogers Jr.; and beloved husband, Samuel Joyner. She is survived by two nieces, Nancy Markey, Charlotte Jones; two nephews, Douglas Rogers, Rod Armisted and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Joyners’ remains rest at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Welbourne United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member.
