Julia Eppard Rabe

RABE, Julia Eppard, 74, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 in Richmond, Va. “Judy” was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Thurman Eppard and Mamie Vesta Breeden Eppard; and her daughter, Karen Lynn Rabe. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Marvin Rabe; son, Brian (Erin) Rabe of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter, Dana Rabe of Richmond, Va.; daughter, Sheri (Paul) Humphreys of Fuquay Varina, N. C.; and grandchildren, Sean Rabe, Julia Rabe and Brandon Humphreys. Also surviving are siblings, Helen Holley, Janet Taylor, Linda Hill, Ronnie Eppard, Peggy Morris and Jeff Eppard. Judy worked as a bookkeeper at Stratton Metals for many years and enjoyed gardening, collecting seashells at the the beach, spending time with her family and being a Mom to her three children and grandchildren. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1400 Horsepen Rd., Richmond, Va. 23226. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Va. 22911.
