Obituary of John Cullen Fitch
John Cullen Fitch, 21, of Richmond, VA, went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Fitch; his siblings, Katherine and Emma Fitch Harrison (Davis); grandparents, Cullen & Faye Rivers and Leonard & Emily Fitch; nieces, Ava & Bella, and nephew, Will, as well as aunts & uncles and extended family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Adrian Dru Fitch, who passed away in 2019. John was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. John received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in business and was most recently employed as a Project Manager for N. Chasen & Son, Inc. John was known for his strong work ethic and integrity in everything he did. He will be remembered for his selflessness, sense of humor, kind and gentle heart. John saw the humanity and value in everyone and was quick to encourage others. He was generous with his time, and always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He deeply loved his family and friends and made a lasting impact on everyone he met. John and his twin sister, Katherine began working together when they were young teens for their family’s commercial interior design business. They have worked on hundreds of job sites across Virginia. They had an inseparable bond and would often spend time cracking jokes together to keep everyone around them laughing. John was a loving son to his mother and enjoyed spending time with his sister, Emma and his nieces and nephew. John spent his evenings at the gym and enjoyed fitness. He loved to work with tools and build furniture in his free time; he could create purely from his imagination. John also loved to work on his car and enjoyed visiting junkyards where he collected metal car emblems. John was spontaneous and adventurous and loved exploring both nature and urban settings. Everywhere he went, he could strike up a conversation and make friends with anyone; he loved listening to people and hearing their stories. John’s legacy lives on through memories and stories, the memorable jokes he shared, the hundreds of job sites in Richmond, Virginia, and Kentucky that he worked on and made beautiful. Most importantly, John’s legacy and honor will live on in the lives of the people he impacted with generosity, gentleness, and selfless love. John was laid to rest in a private service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
