James Carlton Palmore Sr.

James Carlton Palmore, Sr., 85, of Highland Springs, passed away on August 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Maria P. Moore and Donna P. Richards. Mr. Palmore is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Palmore; children, Cheryl P. Drzik (Chris), Nanette P. Cambron (Gary), James C. Palmore Jr., Sherman W. Ford (Cheryl), Gail S. Ford, and Joan A. Palmore (Albert); 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Marion L. Palmore “Squirrel” and sister, Shirley Morgan. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, with a visitation one hour prior to service.
