Helen Jane Clarke

CLARKE, Helen Jane, 93, of Highland Springs, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Janie Schaefer; husband of 70 years, John H. Clarke; and siblings, Rudy, Bill, Charles, Virginia Ann and Margaret. She was born in Carnegie, Okla. and was the co-owner of Aero Industries, a company founded by her husband. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling all over the United States with her husband in their RV. She is survived by her sons, Jon and his wife, Linda, Bobby and his wife, Ann; daughter, Shirley; grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Michael and his wife, Jeanette, Robbie and his wife, Meredith, Lisa and her husband, Antonio; great-grandchildren, Skylir, Bella, Jaxsen, Grey, Ava, Teddy and Reese; special friend, Marie Austin; special caregivers, Lillie, Faith, Shockia “Joy” and Sherecka “Lynn”; and special pet, Comet. The family will receive friends Monday, February 26, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Va. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Richmond SPCA.
