Francis "Frank, Jugg" Burton Magner
December 28, 1944 – August 1, 2014

Magner, Francis B “Frank”, aka “Jug”, of Mechanicsville, triumphed over his long battle of illness on August 1, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Mildred Mitchell Frazier and Francis Burton Magner, his step father William A. Frazier and cherished grandmother Alice Magner. He is survived by his devoted wife Betty, loving children David, Chris (Diane), Kari (Lisa Harper), precious grandchildren Jacob, Taylor and Skylar, two beloved dogs Zoie and Dakota. He is also survived by three sisters Ellen Jacobs (James), Carolyn Guthrie (Mike), Mary “Bunny” Collier and his lifelong best friends, Judy and Joe Bowles.
He served in the U.S. Army in Air Defense Artillery; he was a police officer for Henrico County and retired from the Virginia Credit Union. He enjoyed coaching youth soccer, football and softball and being with his friends and family.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Woody Funeral Home at 9271 Shady Grove Rd in Mechanicsville, VA on Monday, August 4th from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5th at 10AM with interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
