Durrett Edith Henley 90, whent home to be with her Lord & her beloved husband, Bill, on March 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Harry Henley; brothers Frank, Earl and Howard Henley; and sister, Helen Ingram. She is survived by her sister, Hilda H. Bailey; loving nephew Carol L. Henley & his wife, Mary Annie; nieces Shirley Ingram-Smith (Ron) & Connie Yurkovich (Dan); great nieces and nephews Jennifer, Michelle (Marc), William (Landon) and Matthew (Kelly) and two great great nieces Ashton & Mackenzie. Edith and Bill had a passion for flowers. A life-long member of Dover Baptist Church, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and created flower arrangements for the church. Edith will be remembered for her love of family, a good book, peanut M&Ms, crewel work, coloring & watching soap operas. Visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Road on Wednesday 14, 2018 from 5pm to 8 pm. Services will be held at Dover Baptist Church, 635 Manakin Rd, Manakin Sabot, VA 23103 on Thursday March 15, 2018 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Dover Baptist Church or plant a pack of zinnia seeds & enjoy watching them grow!
