Christopher Michael Johnson

Chris Michael Johnson, 34, of Richmond, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Johnson; maternal grandparents, Kenneth R. Wright and Florence Harrison. Chris was a graduate of Varina High School and worked various jobs, ultimately becoming a mechanic in the trailer and trucking industry. He loved nature, videogames, going to the beach and especially his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone. He is survived by his father, David Johnson and his girlfriend, Susan Clarke; mother, JoAnne Miller and stepfather, Ronnie Miller; grandmother, Sherry Johnson; and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, January 17 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA. A graveside service will be conducted 11am, Thursday, January 18 at Washington Memorial Park. The family requests wearing something blue in his memory and for diabetes awareness. Flowers are welcome or donations in his name may be made to American Diabetes Association. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to the V.C.U./M.C.V. staff for all their hard work and for taking care of Chris.
